Course objective: Study the 17th century method of painting by copying the portrait of Agostino Pallavicini by the Flemish painter Anthony van Dyck. Broaden your knowledge about traditional oilpainting techniques and materials, to apply in your own work. The layered underpainting, the palette of the 17th century painter, alsomaking your own medium and the glazing technique are discussed!
